Pre Match Lunch

The rugby club has a pre match lunch before each 1xv home game (starts 1pm). The mini rugby section (coaches, parents and supporters) will be taking a table at:-

Ballymoney (League) 4^th October 2008.

Armagh (League) 25^th October 2008.

The cost is £12 which includes Roast Dinner, wine and sweet. If you would like to join our table please contact Colin Kirkpatrick (Coleraine Mini Rugby) at the latest by the previous Wednesday.

South Africa Collection

Anybody who has used rugby kit, boots, shirts, shorts etc etc and want to donate kit, please leave in collection box in tuck shop. All kit donated will be shipped to South Africa, and used by children learning to play rugby (all sizes of kit required).

YOUTH RUGBY DEVELOPMENT  OFFICER

Chris Blair has been appointed as Coleraine RF&CC Youth Development Officer. Chris will coach the MAXI Age group this season and also help structure coaching at Mini & Youth level. Contact Chris 077 0720 5711.

Coaches Corner

New training kit has arrived, each team will receive a Team Kit Bag, CRFC branded rugby balls, ball net, stirrup pump, 2 sets of Bibs - with Coleraine decals, agility posts, and 4 wedges.

New kit to be shared includes, 5 Tackle Bags (10kg), 20 junior body armour suits, step training hurdles (6”and 9”), speed ladders and RST evasion belts. This will add a further dimension to training sessions. Cost of new kit £2,500.

Club Facilities & Coffee/tuck shop

Many will have noticed that our Club facilities are now open from 10am for all home fixtures and training. This provides a warm and cosy atmosphere for all supporters and visiting teams. Soup and sandwiches or Stew will be provided for all Coaching Staff and Tuck Shop helpers after training sessions and matches each Saturday morning.

The Mini Rugby Coffee and Tuck shop is going from strength to strength, fresh coffee, tea and hot chocolate, along with sweets for the kids. And now a full size Coca Cola sponsoped fridge, to keep drinks cool. The Tuck shop requires a lot of work to function properly, we would ask everyone to join the ‘rota’ and help in the tuck shop or with serving hot dogs and orange juice.

Child protection officer

Tim McLennan has been appointed as Coleraine RF & CC Child Protection Officer. Tim will organise Child Protection Training courses and oversee the clubs Child Protection Policy.
